Description

Required Duties: 1) Develop template for magazine, including standards for font usage and layouts for regularly running pages such as “Contents”. 2) Work with publisher and editor to create individual issue layout. 3) Work with ad rep, marketing intern and businesses to build requested ads for print and web. 4) Work with marketing intern to develop materials to market Somerville Scout magazine. 5) Direct photographers for feature pieces. Retouch photos. Optional Duties 1) Take photos for magazine features 2) Act as key consultant on website development. Qualifications • Required program knowledge: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop • Self-starter who is able to work independently and productively • Able to communicate effectively with publisher and other project coordinators and interns • Experience with computers, web, and general business software (Word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, etc) • Interest in working with small local businesses • Interest in developing a start-up business

Looking for
