Description
Research assistant will support research and administrative functions of the Foundation for the Preservation of the American Family. The duties of the research assistant include, but are not limited to performing basic research on specific topics related to the FPAF programs, assist directors and key staff with their projects, and perform administrative tasks.
Research assistant must possess strong research, analytical and writing skills. We are looking for an individual who has great computer skills (proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and able to learn various software packages as needed), is a quick learner, highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with working in team environment and independently, and able to handle large amounts of information and data.
Specific responsibilities include:
o Conduct internet and literature research
o Collect and analyze data and information through research, interviews and surveys
o Assist with scheduling, developing agendas, preparing and disseminating materials
o Assist grant writers with research and writing
o Assist community outreach organizers with research, communication and material preparation
o Assist key staff with research and administrative tasks
o Assist with preparing updates and newsletter
o Develop presentations
o Perform other support tasks as needed

The Foundation for the Preservation of the American Family (FPAF) is committed to increasing access to information and resources for families addressing problems that undermine their survival. Through our website we provide research, information and a venue for families to document success stories. The FPAF facilitates strategy sharing, collaboration and the navigation of agencies and resources, establishing a vital community where families can help themselves and each other.
We envision the FPAF reaching every family in need of information, access to services, and a desire to communicate with one another nationwide and beyond. In addition, we hope that the existence of the FPAF will provide a critical resource for other agencies and organizations seeking to locate answers to difficult questions facing families.
The FPAF is looking for interns who are interested in helping American families and communities. All interns should be well organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. All positions report to the Executive Director.
