Description

Environmental Education Project Intern Duties: Adapt, develop, and co-teach curricula and materials for hands-on environmental education workshops and fieldtrips with a focus on estuaries, salt/freshwater wetland ecosystems (Workshops take place in local schools and parks.); Assist with outreach, scheduling, and coordination of project activities; Keep records of all project activities, prepare and submit invoices for contracted services to the Eastern Queens Alliance; Help maintain live animal exhibit. Attend EQA Idlewild Park Preservation Committee meetings and report on project activities. Where: Springfield and Idlewild Parks located in Southeast Queens.

Looking for

Graduate Student, Senior or Junior Undergraduate with major or equivalent in environmental studies, biology, natural resources, environmental science education along with to work with others.
